|That’s July in the books. Without a doubt, where you live in Australia has determined what sort of July you have had.
It would seem that in our day to day activities, a large part of Queensland has returned to a level of normalcy despite the fallout from the last few months. We have seen schools at almost full attendance, bars and restaurants open, three codes of football being played professionally in front of crowds and even local community-level amateur sport back in action.
At Siera Group, it seems like the year is just flying past with all things considered, perhaps is not a bad thing. We have recently started the civil works on a 1 into 2 subdivision in Runcorn. This is keeping some of our team busy constructing retaining walls and filling the site. Philip Street in Hawthorne is getting closer to starting with our building approval now lodged, Elm Interiors are busily preparing our finishes schedule and the construction team have commenced early contractor engagement ready to commence the relocation of the existing house, earthworks & pool construction.
More importantly, our team have been working hard on preparing the ground work for the next chapter in Siera Group’s growth. We have recently worked on this outline in our FY20/21 Capability Statement which we are happy to provide upon request.
This year, 2020, was really to be about closing out our existing projects, pushing forward with some smaller projects to keep our team busy and really digging into research and strategy for the future. This research has kept us very busy exploring development opportunities outside of just medium density residential and outside of the inner-city suburbs.
Our energy and focus are directed at growing our development pipeline in South-East Queensland and delivering projects within our complementary core business areas of multi-residential, luxury homes, and land subdivisions to deliver diversification of price, product type and location.
