Families opt for a low maintenance lifestyle

Named after its expansive city views and set in a leafy Greenslopes enclave, Vista on the
Green is raising the benchmark for luxury townhouse living.

Siera Group director Brent Thompson said the key point of difference in this development was the way in which they had reverse engineered the layout of the three and four bedroom townhouses.

“We’ve designed the townhouse to suit the buyer by focusing on the lifestyle of those people,” Mr Thompson said.

Each townhouse has ultra-modern interiors that open on to beautiful outdoor entertaining spaces with either city views or private terrace access.

“We’ve swapped living areas in some of the townhouses for the views and put them on the third level.

“We’ve also done things like put the fourth bedroom on the ground floor for those people who have frequent visitors.

With six of the ten townhouses already sold, Mr Thompson said they had received interest from a broad range of buyers.

“We have such a broad buyer demographic, from downsizers to first home buyers, we try to cater for them all and make it work for all parties,” he said.

“They all find the townhouses meet their needs, but for different reasons.”

Looking to downsize, Daryl and Lisa Watson and their three school-aged children have purchased a four bedroom townhouse within the complex.

Currently living in Parkinson, Mr Watson said their family home has a big backyard and pool, which requires a lot of maintenance.

“We chose to move to Greenslopes for a lifestyle change,” Mr Watson said.

“An opportunity presented itself to be close to the football club and to schools that suit our kid’s needs.

“We’ll also be closer to the city and Mount Gravatt where my wife works.

“It’s a central point for us both.”

Daryl and Lisa Watson have purchased in the Vista on the Green development.

During their search for a new home, Mr Watson said they only considered townhouses and apartments because they required less maintenance than a traditional home.

After inspecting several local developments, the Watson family settled on Vista on the Green as they said it was very affordable and well positioned.

“I could also tell that the finishes were of a high quality, which was really appealing from a building point of view,” Mr Watson said.

As their mid-December completion date drew closer, the Watson family said they were looking forward to moving into their new home, which would provide a better work/life balance for their family.

“We’re at sports seven days a week and where we currently live, we don’t get home until 8pm at night,” Mr Watson said.

“It’s also just up the road from the hospital, which is handy when you have three very active boys. You can just roll them down to emergency.”

Premium fixtures and fittings often considered as extra’s in other developments are included as standard in these townhouses.
